*Blows off dust*

It’s crazy that it’s been a year to the day since I last posted. It must be destiny or something. I don’t really have a reason for why I disappeared BUT I’m back and am committing to posting at least once a month. So apologies for my absence but lets get this popping.

I’m mainly just back to say I reallyyyyyy miss carnival! I haven’t worn a jewel or feather since October 2019 (cheeky plug, check out my Miami review here), and realistically I don’t know when I next will. Apparently we’ll be getting a decision on NHC2021 on June 15th but I don’t really have hope. Even if carnival can go ahead, two months definitely isn’t enough time for bands and masqueraders to prepare. If it does go ahead, it’ll be interesting to see how it happens. Maybe tshirt mas on Monday instead of pretty mas? Who knows mate, just get me on di road!

I know people think I’m being dramatic but surviving without mas has really been hard. The joy carnival brings is unmatched and to be denied that is a tragedy. The music, the colours, the freedom – its exactly what I need after this terrible year we’ve all had. Buttt at least we have fetes to look forward to this summer, Jam Jouvert & Dreamland I wanna run to you
